A Little French Dye Painting

Manne got out her gutta and French dyes for the first time in quite a while.  After working on these magnolias she noted an issue with the gutta. So... she cut out the magnolia pieces and will use them in a future work.  Me, I don't see the issue, but its her image.
These magnolias are cut out and are lying on another cloth for background.

Mannie has Time on Her Hands and So Makes Quilting Yo-Yos

Mannie makes many of her art/isan items while watching tv.  Quilting Yo-Yos became the latest endeavour. She started with a square-or a circle -or a hexagon piece of her own dyed material.  Then there is this folding, origami, quilting thing she does. And then, she adds a button, beads or thingamabob to the centre. voila!! Then she adds them to her other creations.  More later.

Northern Cottage Country Cartoon -the process

Yet another northern cottage country cartoon.  Construction is an ongoing activity throughout cottage country.  Contracted or DYI construction makes for a noise well recognized throughout the countryside.  However, for a few times throughout the year construction ceases and thus the cartoon. Again, after preliminary sketches, I use the Light Tracer table to ink the cartoon with my Noodler Ahab flex fountain pen.  Values are added in Seashore, my free drawing application.  Once the value work has been done I put it into a Comic Life box and add the dialogue bubbles. I am in the process of making a series of these cartoons that can be used in a calendar.   I may need to go back and redo each Seashore cartoon in colour.  But first I want to get a cache of cartoons together so there are a number of choices that can be made into a full calendar.
